Douglas is a fellow of the Institute of Financial Accountants, he trained with a leading firm of
Chartered Accountants in Newcastle before moving to the Rank Organisation as a Management Accountant.
Douglas then moved to Ferranti where he joined the management board of their
chemical vessel manufacturing division and ultimately became responsible for production in Europe’s technically
most advanced reinforced plastic process.
Following a number of years as director of a successful plastics manufacturer Douglas, with investment from 3is,
formed his own company manufacturing a retail DIY product.
In 1995 he sold the company and, realising the need for a management accounting specialist in the North East,
formed the partnership.
Michael Pill
FCCA
Michael is a fellow
of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. Following two positions as Company Accountant at well known manufacturing
companies Michael became Financial Director of a major North East Motor Distibutor. This role laterly incompassed the responsibilities
of General Manager overseeing all departments in addition to his accounting duties.
The business successfully
diversified into a Property Management Company. As well as experience in the Motor and Property trades Michael is now
very knowledgable in the licenced trade, having focused on our PubAdmin division for a number of years.
Michael has considerable
commercial experience in profit development and cost reduction programs as well as establishing systems, preparing companies
for audit and correcting neglected and abused accounting systems.
